Please join us for a short business meeting, followed by the Annual Regency Card Party. The group favorite Whist will be taught and played, as well as a variety of other games. It is not essential to be an Austen enthusiast to enjoy a good card game, so please invite friends and family for this delightful afternoon.
We will meet from 11 am – 2 pm at St. Lukes at the Crossroads, 3501 West Alabama @ Edloe

June 2, 2012 – How to Dress Like Elizabeth Bennet
Speaker – Barbara Smith
Barbara Smith will join the region for a presentation on Regency fashions. Barbara, a teacher by day and a dance caller by night, is also an amazing seamstress, specializing in period dress. She will bring samples of work she has done, as well as speak about the customary clothing of the Regency period. As a special treat, she will offer her advice on how gentle ladies can best doctor their modern apparell in a way that would befit a Regency lady.
